Dedication Documentation

This was performed with a very good friend of mine....as we walk our path together...
I am a child of the gods, and I ask them to bless me.
May my mind be blessed, so that I can accept the wisdom of the gods.
May my eyes be blessed, so I can see my way clearly upon this path.
May my nose be blessed, so I can breathe in the essence of all that is Divine.
May my lips be blessed, so I may always speak with honor and respect.
May my heart be blessed, so I may love and be loved.
May my hands be blessed, so that I may use them to heal and help others.
May my feet be blessed, so that I may walk side by side with the Divine.
This day, I pledge my dedication to the God and Goddess. I will walk with them beside me, and ask them to guide me on this journey. I pledge to honor them, and ask that they allow me to grow closer to them. As I will, so it shall be.

I, miss Willow, on this day have expressed my desire to commit to deeper spiritual walk with the God and Goddess.
I will commit to learn the ways of my ancestors.
I will open my heart and mind to the changes that learning will bring.
I commit to follow the path of those who walked before me...and I will light the way for all those who will walk this path behind me.
As miss Angeline and our Blessed Goddess have witnessed my commitment here on this first full day of the Full Moon, 11/11/11, open and learn. I will be faithful in my walk, and strong in my commitment.
so mote it be...

Moon

"Pray to the Moon, when She is rounde,
Luck with you, shall then abounde.
What ever you seek for, Shall be founde,
In Sea, or Sky, or Solid Grounde."

Spiritual Warrior

Spiritual Warrior:  The one whose quest is doing battle with the self, the one whose goal is self-change.  the sacred Hindu text, the Bhagavad Gita says it well in chapter 6, verse 5~

Lift up the self by the Self
And dont't let the self droop down,
For the Self is the self's only friend
and the self is the Self's only foe.

The Call by Thuri

THE CALL

A call to the Spirit
Issues a summons
No questioning,
No return.

The time is now
To act
To turn, midflight
And catch
The crystalline wonder
Of a little Light
That fell our way.

She is midnight,
She is dawn, and afternoon,
She is twilight, soft
And touching
If only we pause
To feel her here.

The call is a summons
To a Spirit, awakened
To a time spent learning her ways,
Her energy and colors.

The time is now.
We are not
Alone.

Earth Mother by dLiadanc

I am not as you think I am...
It would take a lifetime and you would
Still never understand it...
I am in the morning dew upon the grass
I am in the roughness of the aged oak tree
I am in the wind that rustles the ancient pines
I am in the slightest touch and the deepest
embrace...
I am captured in a moment and lost in instant.
You may search endlessly and never find me.
You may look up and see me staring at you through
the golden eyes of an owl...
You may touch me in the deepest rivers and feel
my presence in the darkest corners of the
Forest...
But never will you behold me in front of you,
for I am an ever moving shadow...
I am the lament of the ancient winds
And the cry of the lonely
Raven...
I am the anguish in the tides and
 The longing in the swells...
I am the Rain that falls on your face
And whispers too late...
I am the sound of silence in the Night and
The call of the birds at day...
My sorrow is the wolf's song in the evening
and my elation is the Muse of the rising sun
You may follow my call for eternity yet never will it
 be directed at you...
My tears are for the Waters.
My eyes are for the Stars.
My soul is for the Forest.
You hear my voice
You feel my presence
You see my way
You touch my soul
Among the trees and rivers I'll stay
My name will lie upon your breath,
But may never escape into words
Forever conscience of my endless existence...

Herbs = Lemongrass

Lemongrass is bound to Mercury and air.  It is said to repel dragons and serpents, and is burned, bathed in, or carried on the person for lust, fidelity, honesty, growth, strength, psychic powers, and purification.
Plant Lemongrass around the home to repel serpent energy.  Drink a Tea to aid in psychic abilities and divination.  Carry it in a sachet or charm to attract the object of your desire and to bring honesty to your relationships.  Burn as an incense for strength and purification.  Put a handful of leaves in a mesh bag and place under the tap water for a purification bath, and to attract and keep a lover.

July Lessons from Thuri

The Story of Lughnasadh:
You are standing in the middle of your little patch, spinning your cone of power.  You planted your gardens, both physical and spiritual, a season ago, and the time for the first harvest is here.  The harvest of the grain.  You raise your arms, remembering the seeds planted at Beltane, nurtured through Litha.  Although most have grown and ripened, you notice that others lie dormant, without enough light or love to pull them through.  A twinge of guilt threatens, but you squelch it, remembering what your gods have taught you so well: that not all seeds are meant to quicken, that your work truly is good enough, and that all is as it should be in the grand scheme of things.  You turn your focus instead to what's immediate, what's real: those things that are growing, those that have blossomed, the successes in your life thus far.  You chant a simple chant, raising power.
You have little to request this holiday.  So much to be grateful for.  You spin the cone, higher and higher, telling your gods with your mind, passion, emotions, body, and spirit that you are grateful, that you have more than enough, and that you want to share it all.  Your body catches the rhythm, begins to spin, and sweat pours off of you in the hot summer sun.  "All the better," you think, loving the sun, letting him penetrate your skin, your muscle, your bones.  Embracing him and all that he means to you, you spin and spin, feeling the Mother filling you from the earth just as the Father pours his light and heat into your body from his place in the sky.  With a final shout of praise and thanks, you drop to the ground, panting.  The soil is surprisingly cool to the touch, and you run your fingers through it as thoughts swirl around you.  You vow to speak to those who mean the most, and express the gratitude you feel for having them in your life, including yourself.  You vow, also, to continue to show your love to your gods through your devotionals and prayers, to deepen your commitment to your path and your spiritual life.  With these vows, you find and feel lighter, more energetic, less burdened.
"Blessed be," you whisper, then look up at the sky.
